The 'Jhoomar' jewelry was new to me and is absolutely lovely. Was the 'Jhoomar' traditionally only worn at weddings? This photo is a treasure. Thanks for sharing.

I am deeply grateful to All My Friends for their lovely comments.
My Parents had to leave Kashmir and adopt Pakistan the new country.Most of the belongings were left behind,we never saw our Mothers wedding dress, the color was 'Maroon' a dark shade of red, Jhoomar is worn only on weddings-not anymore though.Father, posted at Java Burma had come on a'ten Day leave' and hence the Groom in Uniform' Happy to share with all.
